On Friday evening staff members travelled to the Hodson Bay in Athlone for the National awards final of Cumann na mBunscol. These awards recognise excellence in the promotion of Gaelic Games and afford recognition for the work of teachers in our primary schools. After last year’s successes we were very fortunate to be nominated once again finishing 2nd overall in the publication category for our book chronicling 35 years of Cumann na mbunscol participation in our school. Many hours were spent compiling stories and images for the book and we would like to thank the families and individuals in our school community for sharing their stories and images enabling us to showcase the wonderful achievements in our school and village over many decades with a national audience . It was a wonderful trip down memory lane for us all!
