Our school was very lucky this week when Sadhbh Kelly's amazing photo won a photography competition held by Coillte to celebrate National Tree Week. As a result, Sadhbh and her classmates from Junior Infants along with her sister Doireann and her classmates from First Class were invited to Beyond The Trees at Avondale to help Coillte launch National Tree Week. This happened live on the TV show 'Ireland AM' on Virgin Media. All the children who went this morning had a great time and an interesting experience taking part in a live TV shoot. A huge thank you to Naomi Steele for organising this with the representatives from Coillte and Virgin Media. Naomi and the parents also organised the car-sharing needed to get the students there this morning at very short notice so thank you Naomi and team! Both classes have been invited back to Beyond The Trees for a tour later in the term so we are all very grateful.
