The annual county final of the Cumann na mBunscol GAA quiz took place in Lynhams of Laragh on Thursday night. A total of 29 teams from schools all over Co. Wicklow participated.
Roundwood N.S. entered 3 teams into the quiz and we, at the school, are very proud of how hard they worked leading up to the quiz practising questions in school and learning facts at home. Our 3 teams did exceptionally well with one team finishing in a fantastic 2nd place (narrowly behind the winning team from St. Patrick's N.S. in Wicklow Town). This team was made up of Leon Giffney, Tiernan McGuirk, Lucas Kavanagh and Charlie Connolly. Our other 2 teams also had a brilliant night finishing in a 3 way tie for 4th place with Ballyconnell NS near Shillelagh and these 2 teams were made up of Daniel Corneliusson, Caoimhe Connolly, Max Heatly and Michael Fanning while the other team was Conor Burke, Kelan Lawlor, Tom McAulay and Cian O' Mahoney.
There was also a raffle on the night with many of our pupils winning prizes on the night. It was a great night, thoroughly enjoyed by all, and we say "well done" to our fantastic pupils!
