Early voters in 1st Class elect 2 Independent, 1 Fine Gael and 1 Social Democrat TDs

An election took place prior to polling day on Thursday in First Class. Shay Cullen, the local independent candidate was elected on the first count and his surplus vote elected Simon Harris of Fine Gael, the outgoing Taoiseach. Following closely after eliminations were Jennifer Whitmore of the Social Democrats and Dominic Plant an independent candidate.
