STEM Month
STEM Month kicked off on October 19th at St Laurence O'Toole.
Throughout the week, all classes engaged in a variety of STEM activities. Students participated in solving puzzles broadcasted over the intercom, leading to winners from each class group. Second class lightened the atmosphere with their STEM jokes, sparking laughter among everyone.
The week featured a special STEM Trath na gCeist. Well done to all students who participated in the "Ireland Rocks" competition facilitated by Times Tables Rockstar. Every student put in tremendous effort, resulting in our school securing an impressive 15th place out of 248 participating schools. Fifth class ranked 6th out of 982 participating classes—an outstanding achievement. Comhghairdeas.
As the first term came to a close, classes embarked on a STEM trail around the school grounds. Despite the challenge of manoeuvring in their costumes, students thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Míle buíochas le gach éinne a chabhraigh linn an tseachtain a eagrú.
